Have you done an internship at a gallery before? Are you ready for the next step?
We have Internships on a rolling basis, starting 15th January 2023. For the right candidate there is room for growth.
The first project would be Paris 27 -29th 2023.
We are an international art management helping emerging and mid-career artists with their careers. With education, free information and art fairs, we aim to help artists to find their niche; audience and create a communication strategy that suits their needs and attracts the right kind of audience for their art.
This is a terrific hands-on opportunity to learn about artist career management, event and PR communications and education.
The internship position looks at two broad areas of running a commercial art gallery :
First, the intern will assist in all aspects of event management, artist communication and administration. This includes:
– database upkeep,
– website maintenance,
– social media and email campaigns
– light art handling at art fairs
– on site selling on behalf of our artists (visit „art fairs 2023“ for travel schedule)
Second, we have a particular focus is on social media and PR. A flair and talent for writing is required for press releases, contacting journalists/writers, social media promotion, creating artist-bio cards with indesign and sending out invitations.
We are looking for someone who is detail oriented and well organized; a natural problem solver who is not afraid to ask questions, apply common sense, and lend a hand.
And who has a big smile and a sense of humor!
The ideal candidate possesses the following characteristics and skills:
– speaks fluent French (a must) and based in Europe.
– Good command of English or German (or both!) Any other European language a plus.
– Reliable, friendly, curious and dedicated
– Detail oriented and administration guru
– Social media expert (instagram, Facebook, Twitter etc)
– Computer skills a MUST (Word, Excel, basic knowledge of Photoshop)
– Word press (we will otherwise train)
– Diverse administrative & research ability, or desire to learn
Minimum we require a three month commitment of at least 3 days a week, including weekends only when we are exhibiting at art fairs (see 2023 art fairs for schedule). Only serious candidates who are willing and able to dedicate 3 days a week for their internship period will be considered. Individuals with a business or arts management education are preferred.
